Wiki or Blog - It’s no choice at all

January 25th, 2008 by Phil

Sometimes it hard to select the right piece of technology to use. Netcipia helps by allowing you to choose both a blog and a wiki.

This hosted service provides free unlimited storage for sites built using what it modestly calls “the most advanced ‘enhanced wiki’ on the market”.

Built using XWiki, the site has robust open source java technologies at its core and a good sample selection of widgets to decorate and extend its content. What it needs now are some good, high visibility sample sites to show what can be achieved with its implementation of the platform.

About Loosing Site

Putting your business on-line is no longer about setting up a website and having an “enquiries” address. Reputation, branding, research, service delivery and marketing extend into social networks and social media sites. Web tools are supplementing or replacing desktop applications, while the lower costs and expanding features of mobile devices are making ubiquitous access an affordable reality. We collaborate with colleagues that we've never met in person and inform our opinions with custom data feeds.

Loosing Site describes these changes; analysing trends, signposting resources and providing in-depth reviews and tutorials.
