The Balls in your HomeCourt

With so many project management systems it’s difficult to come up with something that feels fresh and new, but HomeCourt have managed it.

Their system works with the simple idea that a task can bounce back and fore between clients and suppliers until it’s done. In their manifesto Homecourt describe the process as client collaboration rather than project management.

Homecourt keeps track of responsibility, communication, filing and invoice management in a clear, simple, conforming Web 2.0 style that makes using it familiar and straightforward. I like the idea of moving the ball between courts. “The balls in your court” is a cliche, but some cliches become cliches because they are good.

The process itself reminds me of the question game in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, but in a good way.
